I have been in the Healthcare Industry for 17 years coming to Athens Eye Doctors and Surgeons from Sarasota Florida in 2007. In Sarasota I worked for Partners in Practice, a full-service Physicians Management Company. During my time there I served as the Electronic Claims Department Manager, overseeing medical billing charges for 60-75 clinics throughout the state covering a wide array of medical specialties. Having a prior history and love of teaching I also served there as the Internal software trainer. With family in Atlanta, I came to Athens in order to be closer geographically and also to live in a historic Cotton Mill loft on the banks of the Oconee River. I live there today with my husband, Mark.

At AEDS building and growing the Billing Department as well as becoming an Ophthalmic Coding Specialist has been a labor of love. I think of a good Billing Department as one that functions as a fine machine requiring dedication and consistent maintenance from its “mechanics”. My team here are all devoted to that end, our doctors and the satisfaction of our patients.
